Our buyers attend the Sydney Fish Market — Australia's largest seafood market — daily. This direct access gives us the widest selection of premium Australian seafood, from wild-caught reef fish to live shellfish.

Specialty items come from a small, vetted network of Australian suppliers. Every supplier is audited against our freshness and cold-chain standards before making the cut. Over 30 years, that network has grown to cover more than 150 species.

- Yes. Tasman Star operates its own trawler fleet operating out of Queensland waters. Having our own vessels means we control the entire supply chain from the moment a catch is landed to when it reaches your door.
- Where is your seafood caught?
- Most of our fish and shellfish come from Queensland and New South Wales waters — including the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef region. We supplement our own catch with daily purchases from the Sydney Fish Market to offer the widest selection.
- Do you sell imported seafood?
- A small portion of specialty items (such as certain shellfish and live seafood) are sourced from trusted international suppliers where a premium Australian equivalent is not available. All imported products are clearly labelled with country of origin.
- How do you keep seafood fresh from catch to delivery?
- Every product travels through our unbroken cold chain: iced at landing, temperature-controlled freight to our Gold Coast stores, and chilled delivery to your door. Orders are cut and packed on the morning of delivery — never the night before.
