BLEACH 2026: Plan a Seafood Dinner Before the Show

BLEACH Festival runs from 1–11 October 2026, so it is already under way as this guide is published. For the remaining dates, a seafood dinner at home can be a relaxed start to your evening if you work backwards from the time you need to leave.

The dates come from Experience Gold Coast’s festival announcement. Use the current organiser program to check the venue, session and ticket details for your chosen performance.

Work backwards from departure, not curtain time

Your useful deadline is the time you leave home. Travel, parking or public transport, and finding the entrance all come after that. Avoid choosing a dish whose final cooking step lands just as everyone needs to get out the door.

For example, if you want an unhurried dinner, allow time to eat and clear the food away before departure. A recipe labelled “30 minutes” describes preparation and cooking, not the whole evening.

Our pre-show seafood dinner timeline gives you a reusable way to plan this without relying on a particular performance schedule.

Choose a dish with one finish time

Fish parcels are useful when several people are eating together. Each guest gets a portion, and the parcels can share one tray. Try tomato and olive fish parcels with bread and a green salad.

If you prefer a hob meal, prawn, tomato and spinach pasta lets you prepare the tomato base before the prawns go in. Serve as soon as the seafood is cooked rather than keeping the pan warm while someone gets ready.

Avoid making a first attempt at a complicated whole-fish preparation when the evening has a firm deadline. A boneless fillet or prepared prawn is easier to portion and check.

Do the shopping before the last-minute rush

Write down the number of diners, which recipe you are using and whether the weight refers to prepared seafood or whole seafood. Those details help the fishmonger guide the purchase.

Collect the seafood when you can take it home promptly. Get salad ingredients, bread and pantry items first, then make the chilled purchase the final stop.

Tasman Star has stores in Labrador and Varsity Lakes. Find the current store details or check delivery coverage. Neither store is presented here as a food outlet at the festival venue.

Clear the table before going out

Put away eligible leftovers promptly, following the handling guidance supplied with your seafood. Wash the preparation board and utensils and leave the kitchen ready for your return. Do not leave a serving platter out for someone arriving later.

If the group cannot agree on an eating time, choose separate meals rather than holding cooked seafood until everyone is ready.

Browse the current seafood range and see our spring events guide for later October weekends.

Festival dates checked 7 October 2026. This is independent meal-planning advice; Tasman Star is not an official BLEACH partner.
