Red Hot Summer Coolangatta 2026: Plan Your Meals

Red Hot Summer’s 2026 tour lists Coolangatta Beach for Sunday 1 November. If you are travelling for the concert, plan seafood meals at home or your accommodation around the show, with shopping at a time when the food can go straight into refrigeration.

Check the official tour page for the event listing and current ticket status. The date was checked on 7 October 2026; availability and entry arrangements can change.

Separate the concert plan from the shopping plan

Buying seafood on the way to an all-day outing is rarely convenient. You need to deal with the food before heading to the venue, rather than hoping to fit an esky into the rest of the day.

For an overnight stay, a Saturday dinner can be a practical choice. Check into the accommodation, make space in the fridge, then shop for the meal. For a day trip, save the seafood purchase for another time unless you can transport it directly home under proper temperature control.

This guide is about meals outside the concert. It does not suggest that you can take seafood, coolers or cooking equipment into the venue.

A dinner that does not need a full pantry

Holiday cooking is easier when a recipe shares ingredients with the rest of your shopping. Lemon can dress a salad and season fish; bread works at lunch and alongside dinner.

Our tomato and olive fish parcels use an oven and ordinary foil parcels. Buy similarly sized fillets so everyone’s portion cooks at roughly the same rate. If the apartment has only a hob, choose prawn and tomato pasta.

Check equipment before buying ingredients. An oven without a tray, or a kitchenette without a useful pan, can turn a simple dinner into a frustrating one.

Shopping from the southern Gold Coast

Tasman Star’s Varsity Lakes store is one option to consider when planning a southern Gold Coast shopping trip. It is not in the Coolangatta concert precinct. Use the contact page for the address and current hours, then check the route that suits your accommodation.

If you are interested in delivery, confirm your exact address on the delivery areas page and the available delivery day before making plans. Do not assume that a Sunday event means Sunday delivery is offered.

Think about checkout before buying extra

A second seafood meal only makes sense if you have a fridge until you need it. Check your departure time and how you will keep groceries chilled afterwards. It may be better to purchase a smaller quantity and enjoy it on the first evening.

If the group is splitting costs, record the seafood purchase separately from shared pantry items. Peeled prawns and shell-on prawns are different shopping weights, so compare the product form as well as the price.

Use our holiday apartment checklist before arrival and browse the current shop when ready to order.
